What is The Peg?

The Peg is a dedicated stablecoin news and insight service spun out of Izabella Kaminska’s Blind Spot. It focuses on tracking the evolution, market structure, and geopolitical significance of tokenised finance.

Founded by a veteran financial journalist formerly of the Financial Times, The Peg was created in recognition of the growing importance of stablecoins, tokenised dollars, and emerging digital monetary systems. Long before the sector entered the mainstream, we were among the first to identify both CBDCs and stablecoins as a consequential new monetary form and asset class.

We see stablecoins as the modern equivalent of the eurodollar market: an increasingly influential offshore monetary system developing in parallel to traditional banking and sovereign finance. As the sector expands its reach across payments, capital markets, and global trade, we believe it deserves dedicated scrutiny, surveillance, and independent analysis.

The Peg aims to provide subscribers with concise daily coverage of the most important developments in stablecoins and tokenised finance, alongside original reporting, analysis, and insight informed by direct access to policymakers, financial institutions, technologists, and industry insiders.

As an independent and self-funded publication, we are building this service gradually deliberately. If you are interested in supporting our work, partnership opportunities, or contributing expertise, please contact Izabella Kaminska at izabella@thepeg.co.
